The WI Hall comprises two rooms, both with windows and radiators: the main hall as seen in the below pictures is available for hire, while a small adjoining committee room can be used for costume changing, break-out groups or storage during your event.
There is an accessible WC and the ladies’ toilets have coat hooks inside. The hall has a public performance music license and a current fire safety certificate. Fire Exits are clearly marked and are to be unlocked by the hirer from the start of the hire period until the end. However these doors are not to be opened unless absolutely necessary.
The hall’s kitchen is available under agreement of hire. It comes fully equipped with oven, hot water, plumbed water urn for hot drinks, fridge, cutlery and a range of cups, plastic beakers, mugs, teapots, plates and glasses.
The main hall also contains a stage with lighting and curtains. If you are interested in using the stage for performances, let us know and you are welcome to come and view. There is an upright piano available for use by prior agreement.
If you would like to use the audio equipment including Bluetooth speakers, induction loop and microphones, please speak to us about this. We are also able to assist with a screen and projector for our regular business hirers.

The hall is heated and the temperature can be adjusted during your booking via the thermostat which is on the wall near the kitchen door. We aim to keep the temperature at no less than 17 degrees during winter hires.
The WI Hall has approximately 20 tables (small, medium and large) and 120 padded chairs that can be removed from the storage room and put up in the main hall at the start of your hire period. Of course everything you move will need putting away correctly before you leave. Chair trolleys are provided.
